First, we'll see some basic functionality that duplicates other radar chart
libraries, but then goes slightly beyond them.
Features to watch out for:
-
Rings can be equal-radii or equal-area, with the latter as default.
-
Sections can be equal-angle or data-proportional (the number of points
in the innermost ring), with the latter as default.
-
Sections can be laid out clockwise or counter-clockwise, with the
latter being the intuitive default.
-
Data point placement is random within its assigned section and ring,
which is why they move when you refresh the page.
-
The legend can be placed to the right, left, top or bottom of the
radar, not placed at all, with "right" as default.
-
Data points are "linked" to their legend entries, so both highlight
when you hover over either.
-
Data points are colour-coordinated with section colours.
-
Sections and rings are linked to data points by reference (an id), not
number, which is why you can shuffle the sections and rings however
you see fit.
-
Rotated sections and rings retain their colour and order in the legend.
(The data points themselves get re-ordered in the legend - that's a
bug, working on it.)
-
Data points can overlap, which means you can stuff a lot of data into
your chart, if you want to.
