From the DC beltway, 495N or 495E, take 270N.
From 70E or 70W, take 270S.
Take exit 15 or 15B to Germantown Road (118S). Turn right.
Take a left at the 3rd/4th light on to
Middlebrook Road.
Take a right at the 2nd light on to Great Seneca
Highway.
Straight through 2 lights (Wisteria,
Climbing Ivy/Dawson Farm).
Take the 1st left after these lights on to Mateny
Road.
Take the 1st right into Harmony Woods Lane.
18746 will come on the right after driving over 4½ speed
bumps.
Drive a bit further ahead and park close to the mailboxes.

From Washington, DC, take the Metro red line.
Alight at Shady Grove, the last stop. There must be a bus from Shady
Grove to Clopper Road, but I don't know what it is. Your best bet is to
call me to pick you up. The station is less than 10 miles away from my
house.
Detailed Driving Directions to Residence
Find your way to either 270N or 270S.
From the Washington DC area, take 495, then 270N.
From Washington National/Reagan Airport, take 66W or
George Washington Parkway, 495N, then 270N.
From Washington Dulles Airport, take Dulles Toll Road,
495N, then 270N.
From Northern Virginia, take 66E, 495N, then 270N.
From Baltimore Airport, take 195W, 95S, 495W, then 270N.
From Baltimore, 95S, 495W, then 270N.
From local areas south, Muddy Branch, Shady Grove, Sam
Eig Highway, Kentlands, Washingtonian Woods, Lake Forest
Mall, etc. take Great Seneca Highway north, ignore
the intersection at a light with Mateny Road, go past the
light intersecting Clopper Road, turn right at Mateny Road
(no traffic light) then follow from step 6.
From local areas north, 118, Germantown Centre,
Observation Drive, Middlebrook Road, Milestone mall, etc.
take Great Seneca Highway south, then follow from step 5.
Look for exit 15 to Germantown Road. If driving up 270N, you want
exit 15B. If driving down 270S, you want exit 15, then take a right
at the fork.
At the third or fourth light, take a left on to Middlebrook Road.
The light comes up quickly, so change 3 lanes to the left quickly.
Middlebrook Road is the light immediately after Crystal Rock Drive.
When waiting at the light for Middlebrook, you should see a strip
mall with a gas station and a Starbucks on the right.
At the second light, turn right on to Great Seneca Highway.
Go straight through two lights - intersections with Wisteria and
Climbing Ivy/Dawson Farm. Take the immediate left (not at a light)
on to Mateny Road. If you reach a light (Clopper Road), you have
gone too far. If you see the intersection with Mateny Road at
another light, you've gone way too far. U-turn on Great Seneca,
retrace your steps back to the intersection of Mateny and Great
Seneca at a non-light intersection and turn on to Mateny.
Take the first right into Harmony Woods Lane. The complex is
called Chestnut Oaks.
Drive over 4½ speed bumps. The first 4 are pronounced, but
the last is gentle. Our house is immediately after, on the right.
It is an end-unit townhouse, #18746.
Drive just a bit further and you will see mailboxes on the left.
Past them are unmarked spots, in which you can park.
